Creative Idea Making Meeting

Dr. Salah Mammar, an expert in thinking training programs, presented a secret community meeting entitled “Creative Idea Making” and was attended by a number of people interested in the field. The meeting was distinguished by the wide participation of the attendees and a distinctive presentation by the speaker about the journey of making creative ideas.

During the meeting, Dr. Salah Mammar talked about the schools of creativity, summarizing them in four basic schools of thought for creativity, all of which are correct and used in different contexts and different stages according to need, which are:

The first school believes that creativity is a personal trait, meaning that it is linked to distinguished and creative people who have a different way of thinking than others.

The second school believes that creativity is production, meaning that it considers creativity in products and not in individuals.

The third school is the school of elements and procedures that provides a model for how to create a creative idea. This school is built on four important elements: fluency, flexibility, originality, and details.

The fourth school believes that creativity lies in the creative environment. The environment that contains and provides the elements of creativity is what produces more creative people. When you provide certain elements in the environment, you help create a greater number of creative people in this environment.

At the end of the meeting, Dr. Salah Mammar recommended to the attendees a number of useful programs that help develop creative thinking, including: SCAMPER, creative problem solving (TRIZ theory), and a creative idea creation workshop.
